Meet Dr. Margarita Lachica

Dr. Ted Moore

Dr. Moore grew up in the San Diego and San Jose areas of California. In high school he developed a talent in springboard diving which led to a scholarship to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara. There he continued his passion for diving while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Genetic Engineering.

After spending three years in the genetic research field, Dr. Moore applied and was accepted to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. In addition to his dentistry curriculum, he worked as a research assistant in the orthodontic department and participated in an orthodontic study club. Upon graduation, Dr. Moore was accepted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the Dental Honor Society of most prestige. OKU only accepts graduating dentists who rank highest in scholarship for the entire period they attended dental school.

Success in dental school and a passion for orthodontics earned Dr. Moore a position at the University of Iowa School of Dentistry orthodontic residency. In June of 2003, he received his Certificate of Orthodontics and his Masters of Science. He has practiced in various settings over the last 20 years but always in Colorado.

Although Dr. Moore is well trained in straightening teeth and correcting bites, what he really enjoys is caring for people… and creating beautiful smiles. He takes the time to get to know his patients. He cares about the people in his community. He also cares about giving back and has participated in several volunteer programs including a dental mission trip to Peru where he provided dental care to children living in an orphanage in Cuzco.

Dr. Moore and his family love Colorado and enjoy many of the things that come with living here. They spend their time skiing, hiking, biking, and swimming.
